Aug 1 Makeup and Skincare Haul July 2023

Welcome to my monthly makeup and skincare haul series. Every month I will be journaling what products I bought in the past month, including makeup, skincare, and bath or body products. I will go through why I decided to buy these products in case you were just as curious about them. Please comment down below if you would like to see swatches or more in depth reviews. I will start showcasing the makeup in my get ready with me posts as I try out my new purchases.

Makeup and Skincare Haul July 2023

This month’s makeup haul for July 2023 can be summarized as “buying all the indie makeup releases”. The majority of the makeup was new releases from Unearthly Cosmetics and Cosmic Brushes. I was finally able to purchase the Terra Moon single eyeshadows and Lethal Cosmetics makeup during a sale. I made an Olive Young order specially for the rom&nd Sanrio collection, which seems to have gone viral on social media. And I decided to try out some popular Chinese beauty brands by ordering from Chic Decent for the first time.

*rom&nd Sanrio Whatever Girls makeup collection*

Rom&nd released a collaboration with the Sanrio characters My Melody and Kuromi that sent social media into cuteness overload. The Whatever Girls collection includes two eyeshadow palettes, four Dewyful Water Tints, a Kuromi Glasting Water Gloss, four Mood Pebble nail polishes, and a Kuromi Nu Zero cushion. I bought all of these products from Olive Young, however they quickly sold out. Currently, they are still available on Beauty Box Korea.

I created this easy pastel pink eyeshadow look for everyday makeup using the My Cheery Garden palette, Mellow Sugar Dewyful Water Tint, and Chioture Double Color Blush shade 04.

I also decided to purchase the SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule, highly recommended from reddit beauty threads. This ampoule is designed to hydrate and strengthen the skin barrier for individuals with sensitive skin types.

Chic Decent Makeup Haul July 2023

I wanted to try buying from Chic Decent, a website dedicated to Chinese beauty brands. I’ve seen good reviews on Judydoll on social media, so I purchased some eyeshadow palettes, a lip oil, and their viral donut highlighter. I also bought some Gogo Tales products and these cute duo blushes from Chiocture. I received most of my order in one shipment. However, a PayPal dispute was required to notify Chic Decent to ensure the missing items would be shipped.

This Joocyee Pink Power Glazed Rouge was a freebie from my Chic Decent order. It is a medium toned pink lipstick that has a glossy finish, much like a lip balm.

I’m always interested in trying out different lip oils, as they are my preferred lip product for everyday wear. In this post, I share my thoughts on the Gogo Tales moisturizing lip oil.

The Gogo Tales Broken Galaxy eyeshadow has a similar glitter formula to Urban Decay’s Moon Dust. I posted my review and swatch of Gogo Tales Broken Galaxy 601, plus a Barbie inspired hot pink eyeshadow look that included this silver glitter.

I was tempted to give these Judydoll eyeshadow palettes a shot because they had pretty color stories. I ended up buying Magic Sunset, Monet’s Dreamland, Romance in Nice, Vincent’s Wheat Fields, and Pink Lake Paradise.

Judydoll Lip Oil Grapefruit — *Judydoll Grapefruit Lip Oil*

The Judydoll Grapefruit Lip Oil is a slightly thicker formula than the Gogo Tales lip oil. It has a clear and glossy formula with a citrus scent.

Judydoll Starlight Highlighter silver — *Judydoll Starlight Highlighter*

Judydoll Starlight Highlighter is a highlighting powder with silver micro glitters in a clear base. It went viral on social media for its cute donut packaging. The glitters are more fine than the Gogo Tales Broken Galaxy. I’m not certain how well it would work as an actual highlighter as the glitter is prominent, but it could still work for inner corner highlights or as an eyeshadow topper.

I absolutely needed to buy these Chioture blushes when I saw them on the Chic Decent website. I took a chance that they would at least have a decent powder formula and not just adorable pan embossing. I was pleasantly surprised by the pigment on the cheeks, although the arm blush swatches were harder to see. I’ve used these blushes in a few makeup looks, including this pop of purple eyeshadow look.

Cosmic Brushes Makeup Haul July 2023

I was lucky to grab the Cosmic Brushes eyeshadow palettes Muse, Serenity, and Delicious Delights in a set discounted. The Frosting Highlighter Trio was a new release from the brand so I picked that up too.

I used the Cosmic Brushes Muse palette to create a golden hour eyeshadow makeup look.

Unearthly Cosmetics Makeup Haul July 2023

My Unearthly Cosmetics Resurgence collection finally shipped. I originally made this order in June, but the brand had some warehouse issues that caused delays in shipping. I also purchased the Don’t Be Jelly and Dead of Night eyeshadow palettes since I have the other versions of these palettes.

Terra Moon Cosmetics Eyeshadow Haul July 2023

Terra Moon Cosmetics had a summer sale so it was the perfect time to try out their multichrome eyeshadows. I picked up the shades Prism Skies, Moonshine, Butterfly Nebula, Ultraviolet, Mystic Mountain, Star Formation, Lyra, Terra Borealis, Rosette, Halley’s Comet, Celestial Petal, Multiverse, Starburst, Interstellar, and Atlas. I liked that you could choose between 36M or 26M pan sizes for most of the eyeshadows.

Lethal Cosmetics Makeup Haul July 2023

Camera Ready Cosmetics had a 20% off Summer sale recently and I was able to buy some Lethal Cosmetics blushes and eyeshadows that have been on my purchase list for a while. They shipped my order that same day and I received it in 4 days, which is an incredibly fast shipping time. They were only able to partially ship my order though. It appears that some eyeshadows became unavailable, so I am hoping that the rest of the order will ship within a few weeks once they restock. I also received a makeup bag full of free products for ordering over $150.

Adding to my Lethal Cosmetics blush collection, I purchased the Wildflower collection blushes in Aster, Carnation, Dandelion, and Pansy.

I have all the multichromes Lethal Cosmetics have released so far, and now I can add the Wildflower multichrome eyeshadows to that collection. These are Blazing Star, Clover, Flourish, Heather, Pioneer, and Untamed. I ordered all the new metallic eyeshadows but only Palladium and Pyrite were available for shipping.
