Easy and Affordable Pastel Pink Eyeshadow Look for Beginners with rom&nd
In this beginner-friendly makeup tutorial, I will show you how I created this pink pastel eyeshadow look that is perfect for everyday wear. For this specific look, I used rom&nd My Cheery Garden eyeshadow palette. It is an affordable pink eyeshadow palette with neutral tones. While this eyeshadow palette is a Sanrio limited edition collection, rom&nd has other palettes in similar pink tones. For a similar pink eyeshadow look, I recommend rom&nd Peony Nude. You can find rom&nd palettes on sale for around $25. However, this soft pink eyeshadow look is also easy to recreate using any pink makeup palette in your collection.
Easy Pastel Pink Eyeshadow Tutorial for Beginners
Using the rom&nd My Cheery Garden eyeshadow palette, apply the shade Cheery Fairy all over the eyelids. This light pink eyeshadow is the base for the makeup look and is your blending shade. The swatches for My Cheery Garden and Cheeky Cheeky Garden from the rom&nd Sanrio collection are in a separate post.
Blend Ruddy Shade on the outer eyelid, creating a smoky wing. This is a matte brown eyeshadow with pink undertones and is used to contour and define the eye shape. For a wearable everyday look, make a smaller wing and less eyeshadow. You can add more pigment or a darker brown eyeshadow to the wing for a day to night makeup look.
Using a finger, dab Cheery Pop onto the middle of the eyelid, creating a halo effect. For better glitter payoff, do not completely cover the eyelid. Instead, add only a light layer of glitter. This allows the glitter particles to shine better in the light instead of blended together to form a shimmer.
Use a thin eyeliner brush to line the eyelids using the shade Choco Ground. For my hooded eyes I find this step necessary to emphasize and elongate the shape of my eyes. But for a natural eye look this step can be skipped.
Keep the eyelashes clean and simple with basic mascara. Add a nude shimmer eyeshadow to the inner eye corner or your eyebrow bone to highlight these areas of your eyes.
