Sep 1 Makeup and Skincare Haul August 2023

Welcome to my monthly makeup and skincare haul series. Every month I will be journaling what products I bought in the past month, including makeup, skincare, and bath or body products. I will go through why I decided to buy these products in case you were just as curious about them. Please comment down below if you would like to see swatches or more in depth reviews. I will start showcasing the makeup in my get ready with me posts as I try out my new purchases.

Makeup Haul August 2023

I've been wishing for the fall weather and decided to really lean into makeup purchases that were all about the season. I prefer a dewy lip, so most of my purchases were centered around lip glosses with fall colors. Other purchases were made during sales or just makeup products I was interested in trying out. I have a Korean makeup haul from Olive Young Global, a Chinese makeup haul from Chic Decent, 2 orders from YesStyle, a giant Ulta Beauty haul, and various eyeshadows from some indie brands.

Olive Young Global Haul August 2023

*Giverny Milchak Fixing Mascara Black Brown*

I needed to restock on some mascara and decided on the Black Brown color of the Giverny Milchak Mascara. The most significant aspect of a mascara for me is its water-resistant formula, as it is prone to smudge around my lash line throughout the day.

The Alternative stereo Lip Potion Aqua Glow is my new favorite lip tint this month. The formula is slick, like a light-weight lip oil. The packaging is also unique, similar to vintage potion bottles. I have a post with swatches of the Lip Potion Aqua Glow.

These are the new summer lip tints from Clio. I saw them on Instagram and loved that transparent tube packaging. They have a nice glossy finish and stain quickly on the lips. Check out swatches of Clio Crystal Glam Tints and their staining power.

Dasique Summer Coral collection — *Dasique Summer Coral makeup collection*

I purchased the Dasique summer makeup collection called Summer Coral. They had bundles with free gift with purchase, so I received a bonus lip oil. Here’s my quick review of the Dasique Summer Coral Lip Oil. I also have the Dasique Summer Coral Blending Layer Cheek swatches, and the Dasique Summer Coral Shadow Palette swatches. I also created an everyday nude makeup look with the whole collection.

For buying over a certain amount, I received this Olive Young August Kit, filled with various skincare and foundation samples.

I also received this Bring Green Tea Tree Cica Cooling Sun Stick for free with my purchase. It is an SPF sun block stick with a cooling sensation. It contains tea tree and centella extract for sensitive skin.

Lethal Cosmetics Haul August 2023

Finally got the last of my Camera Ready Cosmetics order from last month. These are the last of the Lethal Cosmetics Pure Metal Shadows that weren’t shipped until now: Alloy, Bismuth, Cobaltite, and Mercury. Bismuth came a bit shattered, but I just packed it down with a finger and placed it into a magnetic palette specifically for my shattered single eyeshadows.

Clionadh Haul August 2023

*Clionadh Dimensional Multichrome and Pearlescent Multichrome*

Clionadh released some new multichromes for their stained glass collection. I got all of the new Dimensional Multichromes except for one, and decided to pick up the Pearlescent Multichromes too. I’ll have to buy the missing one on the next restock. The Dimensional Multichrome Eyeshadows are Redox, Tarnish, Oxidize, Catalysit, and Ion. The Pearlescent Multichrome Eyeshadows are Baroque, Palace, Renaissance, and Sceptre.

Gourmande Girls Haul August 2023

In anticipation for Halloween season, I got both of the Halloween inspired eyeshadow palettes from Gourmande Girls. I have posts for Nightshade palette swatches and Spooked palette swatches.

Kaleidos Haul August 2023

I haven’t been interested in the eyeshadow palettes from the last two collections from Kaleidos. Their latest collections have been cool toned quads with only purple and neutral colors. I have some of their colorful blushes from the Smokey Nostalgia. For the new Alma Viva collection, I purchased all of the Untamed Glow Glossy Lip Glazes. the Tone Activator Eye Primer, an Apple Glaze Softening Lip Mask, and the Blending Blush Brush was a free item with purchase. Chic Decent Makeup Haul August 2023

Chic Decent makeup products — Chic Decent Makeup Haul with Chioture Double Color Blush, Judydoll Soft Shine Colour Eyeshadow, Hold Live Mirror Light Lip Gloss, Gogo Tales Powder Fog Cloud palette, Gogo Tales Water Light Sweet Ripple Lip Gloss, Into You Coconut Lip Gloss

For my Chic Decent haul, I focused on buying glossy lip products in fall colors. All the Into You, Hold Live, and Gogo Tales lip glosses I purchased were hydrating and dewy in various degrees of opacity. Into You Coconut Lip Gloss swatches, Gogo Tales Water Light Sweet Ripple Lip Gloss swatches, and Hold Live Mirror Light Lip Gloss swatches can all be found in their respective posts.

I have updated my Chioture Double Color Blush swatches by adding these three new shades I bought.

I have a review and swatches of the Gogo Tales Powder Fog Cloud eyeshadow palette, a good everyday pink and neutral palette.

Judydoll Soft Shine Colour Eyeshadow is basically a dupe of Urban Decay Moon Dust eyeshadows.

Ulta Beauty Makeup Haul August 2023

Ulta Beauty had their Diamond and Platinum Appreciation promotion, so I decided to pick up some items. They had two gift with purchases options available, so I just made two separate orders to get both gift sets. I wanted to try out the about-face eyeshadow brushes and see if I could get a better defined wing with them. The Lancome Defincils Waterproof Mascara is my go-to black mascara. I can’t find my old Urban Decay Moon Dust in Space Cowboy so I got that too, plus I could use it as a comparison for my other Chinese makeup purchases. The Lancom Idole Eau De Parfum is a sample gift for purchasing a Lancome product.

I’ve been meaning to try out some Half Magic Beauty items and ending up getting the Wing Magician, a silicon guide meant to help with drawing eyeshadow wings, four Chromaddiction Eye Paints, two eyeshadow singles, and the Glitterpuck.

I purchased some Colourpop products as well, including the new Rock On collection. You can find swatches of the Colourpop Rock On palette here, and this stunning red and bronze smoky eye look I created with this palette. And some older Naruto super shock shadows and a blush from the Alice in Wonderland collection. Colourpop super shock shadow swatches can be found in my post here.

I got the Tony Moly Ceramid Mochi Toner and the Watermelon Dew All Over Serum which included a free I’m Coffee Soothing Scrub Mask.

Here’s all the free samples I received, which mostly contain skincare products with some haircare and a few fragrance and makeup items.

Another Ulta Beauty haul to use a 20% coupon. It was only for non-prestige brands, so I picked up some Juvia’s Place blushes and a fragrance set from Snif. Juvia’s Place Blushed Duo swatches can be found in this post.

The Snif mini fragrance set is a trio of Snif’s best-selling scents in 0.33 oz travel-friendly bottles. They contain Sweet Ash, Tart Deco, and Golden Ticket.

In Store and Amazon Makeup Purchases August 2023

*Canmake Glow Fleur Cheeks Rose Ballerina*

This Canmake Glow Fleur Cheeks in Rose Ballerina I purchased in store at a Takashima in Rowland Heights. It’s actually pretty hard to find retailers for Canmake that sell online, but if you have a local Japanese grocery store or something similar to a Takashima you might be able to find it there. I just happened to be in the area and this purple and pink blush caught my eye. It is a mix of matte and shimmer powder, so the blush will appear glowy on the cheeks.

*Keep In Touch Black Plumper Tint Royal Midnight*

This Keep In Touch Black Plumper Tint I bought from Amazon. It has a black transparent glossy formula that tints your lips in that trendy blackened berry shade. You can see a lip swatch and review of the Black Plumper Tint in a separate post.

YesStyle Makeup Haul August 2023

I made two YesStyle orders early at the beginning of August and they both arrived about 3 weeks later. Which, with how long YesStyle usually takes, isn’t too bad of a wait time. Anything before 30 days is fast for them. I purchased some 3CE Plumping Lips as I heard they were a decent dupe for the MAC Squirt Plumping Gloss Stick. I also added the 3CE Auto Focus Multi Eye Color Palette.

I picked up some more A. Black Glam Change Multi Palettes to add to my collection.

The Klavuu Nourishing Care Lip Sleeping Pack is my holy grail for lip care. I put this on every night as part of my nighttime skincare routine, and I never have issues with dry or cracking lips throughout the day. They recently changed to having different flavors instead of the basic, non flavor ones, so I’ll give them a try. As long as the formula is essentially the same, I don’t mind flavors or scents.

Here are some Unleashia products I picked up. Two Unleashia Glitterpedia eyeshadow palettes to add to my collection, and the newer Sisua Butter Waffle Dough Blusher. The blushes have some interesting packaging in clear circle domes, and the blushes have a squishy, semi-cream formula.

I finally got my hands on the Clio Ingeolmi at Home Pro Eye Palette, I only really wanted it for the cute dog embossing on the palette and the stickers. The embossing will fade very quickly though after just one use. I also got two other Clio Pro Eye Palettes, the Lazy Soft Paw and Napping Cheese. The VDIVOV Jewel Glow Eye Palette looked interesting with its all glitter and shimmer pans. I got it in Glow Lavender. The Face Shop had these shimmer blushes that look like dupes to Ofra highlighters. I purchased the fmgt Veil Glow Blusher in Vintage Peach. The Canmake mini eyeshadow palette looked cute too, so I picked up the Juicy Pure Eyes in Sunset Kiss.
