Essential Liquid Eyeshadows You Need For Stunning Colorful Makeup
If you like colorful eyeshadow looks, or looking for long wear eyeshadows, about-face Matte Fluid Eye Paints are essential to your makeup collection. These matte liquid eyeshadows are long wearing and have high pigmentation in various shades of primary, pastel, and bright colors. You can also mix the eyeshadows to create your own unique color of eyeshadow.
Liquid Eyeshadow Tips
Matte Fluid Eye Paints are easy to use, however you do need to blend or sheer out the liquid eyeshadow within the first 30 seconds of applying if that’s the look you are trying to create. You can use a fluffy makeup brush or your fingers to blend. If you want a more graphic look, use liner or wing tipped brushes to create more controlled lines and shapes. As these liquid eyeshadows will dry down, I would recommend using a cleansing balm or cleansing oil as the first step for makeup removal. Double cleanse by using your usual makeup cleanser or foam afterwards.
about-face Pop of Green Hooded Eye Makeup Tutorial
For this makeup look, I wanted a neutral everyday eye look with a green pop of color. I’ve been really into the about-face Matte Fluid Eye Paints recently to add that touch of color to an otherwise “boring” natural makeup look. I used Vertigo Flowers, a bright lime chartreuse shade just above my crease on the inner eye lid. I don’t have much eyelid space and have mono eyelids, so eyeshadow placement can be difficult.
I used a shimmer beige for the inner eye and the shimmer brown on the outer eye, both from the Kara Beauty Viridescence palette. This palette has lovely greens and browns while also being super affordable and good quality, bought during my May 2023 haul. To add more sparkle, I used Just Landed from Unearthly Cosmetics All I Ever Wanted multichrome palette. It has a light blue base with glitter and gold shifts so I applied it right over the matte chartreuse to bring the green out more.
I used about-face Champagne Room Cheek Freak Blush Balm as a light flush of pink for blush. I thought this pink shade was a good complimentary color to the greens and blues. For lipstick I used Espoir No Wear Chiffon Matte in Butterum for its peach neutral tone. And for perfume I chose Aerin Mediterranean Honeysuckle which is a fresh and floral scent.
The eye makeup actually looks a lot more neutral than the arm swatches. That’s due to my blending out the eyeshadow shades for a softer look. But you can get a brighter look with these same products with less blending or building up the color.
