Easy Colorful Makeup Looks: Enchanting Aqua Eyeliner
This day's look was all about adding a bit of fun to my makeup using an aqua eyeliner. The rest of the eye makeup is pretty laid-back and every day, but by adding that pop of aqua, it instantly brightens up the whole look. I decided to go bold and glam by using a bright color and a flashy duochrome eyeshadow, since this was an evening out at the OC Fair. This makeup is also super easy to recreate with any color for an eye-catching statement eyeliner. Browse through the eye makeup tutorial below for a step-by-step guide on how to create an effortless and enchanting aqua eyeliner look.

Using the shade Sensual from the Unleashia All of Brown Glitterpedia Eye Palette, blend this brown shimmer eyeshadow towards the outer eye area. Create a more dramatic look by sweeping the shadow into a smoky winged eye. Try tapping the shadow over the blended area with a denser eye brush to retain that shimmery texture and more bronze color back. Unleashia All of Brown is also available on Amazon.
With a fingertip, tap the Lethal Cosmetics Evoke duochrome shadow over the eyelid, focusing towards the front inner eye. Evoke has a baby pink to mint glitter flip that has a metallic texture. This pairs really well with the overall makeup, as the mint green is in the same color story as the aqua, and the pink is a complementary color. Try not to too much of Evoke so that it becomes a metallic finish. The idea is to only add just enough that the glitter of the duochrome shows through rather than a saturated sweep of shimmer.
Carefully apply the aqua liner on the outer upper lid by lining the lash line, dragging it into a wing. I used about-face Replicant Matte Fluid Eye Paint by dipping a thin eyeliner brush into the liquid eyeshadow and creating the eyeliner that way. You will need to work quickly so that the liquid does not dry before you finish. If you are worried you aren't skilled enough yet to do this technique, try using a powder eyeshadow to map out your eyeliner first. That way you can correct any mistakes easily before going in with a liquid eyeliner. Or simply use an aqua pencil eyeliner.
Add mascara to the upper and lower lashes, and you have completed this mermaid inspired sparkly aqua eye look. Add a champagne colored glitter shadow to the inner corner of the eye for some extra dazzle.
Complementary Makeup For Aqua Eyeliner Look
Blush: Colourpop Jet Set Pressed Powder Blush. Jet Set, from the Colourpop Wild Collection, is a warm light-brown blush with a satin finish. On my skin tone, this blush works as a glowy bronzer and gives a sun kissed aesthetic.
Lip: Colourpop Peppermint Frost Glowing Lip Balm and Kara Beauty Holo Glam Level Up Nourishing Lip Gloss. Peppermint Frost is a light pink sheer lip balm and I layered Holo Glam over this to create a cute holographic glitter glossy pink lip. Holo Glam does have larger glitter particles, so you will feel some graininess on your lips.
Perfume: Ellis Brooklyn Salt Eau de Parfum. Salt is a warm and fresh scent with sandalwood and tropical floral notes.
