Elegant and Edgy Smoky Brown Wing Makeup Tutorial with Terra Moon Cosmetics and Clionadh

I wanted to use my new Terra Moon single eyeshadows from a recent haul to create a fun makeup look to Disneyland. I didn't want to take away from the shine of the multichrome shade, so I made a brown smokey winged eyeliner to complement it. The way this eye look appears is sophisticated and effortless, without being overly complicated or difficult to pull off. Learn how to create this simple smoky eye makeup look with a step-by-step tutorial below.

Smoky Brown Wing Eye Makeup Tutorial

  1. Blend Clionadh Caribou single eyeshadow all over the lid, concentrating most of the shadow on the outer eye. Caribou is a chocolate brown shimmer shade that will make up the base of this smoky eye look. For my hooded eyes, I use a fluffy makeup brush to smoke out the shadow just above my eye crease. You won't be able to see much of your eyeshadow if you only apply it below the eyelid crease.

  2. Apply a glitter primer towards the inner eyelid. Whenever you are using a glitter eyeshadow, I would recommend using a glitter primer for long-lasting wear.

  3. Lightly tap Terra Moon Moonshine mulitchrome eyeshadow towards the front of the eyelid using a fingertip. Moonshine is a silver metallic with a pink and purple shift. Since this shadow is quite colorful and eye-catching, I decided to tone down the rest of the eye look by choosing a neutral brown. You can also apply it on the inner corner of the eye for a more dramatic effect.

  4. Using about-face Matte Eye Paint in Weightless, line along the upper lash line and extend into a wing shape. On hooded eyes, I would recommend creating the wing only on the outer eye. This will make your eyes appear longer in the cat eye shape without losing the eyeliner when you open your eyes. Use an angled eye brush for better control. As this is a matte brown liquid eyeshadow, you have some time to smudge and create the perfect wing for your eye shape. Another option is using a liquid eyeliner for a crisp winged liner or a pencil eyeliner instead. Smudging your eyeliner pencil will create the same effect. Adding a thicker wing or using a black liner instead will create a more dramatic winged eyeliner over the brown smoky eyeshadow.

  5. For extra texture and shine, tap Crush from the Unleashia All of Glitter palette over the outer eye and wing area. Crush is a deep brown with a pearly shimmer.

  6. Apply mascara on the upper and lower lashes and fake lashes if that is your preference.
