Everyday Nude With an Orange Glossy Lip Makeup Look
Today's look is a simple everyday nude makeup as I wasn't doing much except dropping my boyfriend off at the airport. I've been really into fall lip colors as we get to the tail end of summer. Although in Southern California, fall weather might not start until October. Fall lipstick shades tend to be bold oranges, browns, and purples, which for me, results in a more neutral eyeshadow look. I try to spice up my everyday eye looks by adding glitter or a small pop of complementary color to my lip shade. For this look, I wanted the focus to be this glossy orange lip from the Clio Crystal Glam Tint. I bought every lip tint from this collection, and I've been trying to use each one in a makeup look. Follow down below for a step-by-step guide in creating an everyday neutral eyeshadow look that will go with any bold lip color, including this orange lip.
Everyday Nude Makeup Tutorial For a Glossy Orange Lip
From the Dasique Summer Coral eyeshadow palette, apply Sandy Beach all over the eyelid as a matte nude base shade.
Tap Honey Blond from the inner corner of your eyelid with a fingertip, sweeping over until the middle of the eye. The champagne nude glitter creates a bit of interest on the eye to an otherwise plain eye look.
Apply Burn towards the outer corner of the eyelid, shaping it into a smoky wing. This warm brown isn't too deep of a contrast and just adds a bit of dimension and contour around the eyes.
Using Coconut, line the upper lash line with a thin eyeliner brush to define the outer eye. You can also use a brown eyeliner pencil or liquid liner, making the eye shape appear longer.
I usually add a silver or champagne glitter for an inner corner highlight, as well as a nude shimmer under the lower lid for a subtle aegyo-sal.
Add mascara to your upper and lower eyelashes. Apply fake lashes if that is your preference.
Complementary Makeup For an Orange Lip
Blush: Dasique Summer Coral Blending Layer Cheek. I used Candy Coral, which is the bright rosy pink blush. Adding a more vibrant blush doesn't distract the overall makeup, as the eye look is fairly neutral.
Lip: Clio Crystal Glam Tint Summer Apricot. A bright apricot orange glossy lip tint that becomes toned down over my natural lip color. I have a post with all the Clio Crystal Glam Tint swatches if you need color comparisons.
Lip Topper: Dasique Summer Coral Lip Oil. For a bit of sparkle, I topped the lip gloss with a glitter lip oil.
Perfume: Jo Malone Earl Grey & Cucumber.
