A New Korean Makeup Brand To Watch Out For (And Where to Buy It)
New K-Beauty Brand Alert: Muzigae Mansion
If you are familiar with Korean beauty and its aesthetic, you can tell that most makeup palettes are versions of cool tone pinks and warm tone corals. So it peaked my interest when I came across this brand called Muzigae Mansion on Olive Young. So far they have released three palettes, a cool leaning one, a warm leaning one, and a neutral palette. What distinguishes them from other brands at least in terms of color stories, is that there are pops of color you normally don’t see in Korean brands. Particularly the greens and blues. And in terms of formula, they perform just as well as other Korean makeup I have used. You can easily make many everyday natural eye looks but create some interest with a pop of green or blue.
For this makeup look I was just out having a sushi dinner with a friend, so I chose products for a minimal everyday look. The Greenery palette by Muzigae Mansion I used to create a neutral eye makeup with a pop of green. And the Rare Beauty liquid blush added a complimentary shade of light pink. Here I am again using the Merit Gelee Sheer Tinted Lip Oil in Mapleton, as I was mostly going to be eating and didn’t want a heavy lip color. I didn’t want an over powering fragrance as I was going to a restaurant, so I decided to try Salt by Ellis Brooklyn. I picked up a sample set of four perfumes by Ellis Brooklyn during the spring Sephora sale as well. And FYI, Ellis Brooklyn is an Asian American owned fragrance company. Bee Shaprio founded the brand and is a well known New York Times columnist.
