A Bespoke Perfume With A Touch Of NYC
The Maker Perfumes Mini Review
Here is another makeup of the day featuring a new perfume brand I discovered through the Sephora spring sale called The Maker. I decided to try the discover kit based on the fragrances, but I also like that the perfume vials are refillable so you can take them when travelling. The sample set contains six different scents on the range of unisex or genderless fragrances. The brand was conceived alongside The Make Hotel in New York, and its fragrances are inspired by its eclectic style.
I was having a casual lunch for this occasion, and I picked this fragrance because liked the description of the Stag perfume by The Maker. It is a woody and leather scent that doesn’t lean too masculine and is “inspired by innate confidence”. For the eye look I tried out the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick from their Roseglow collection. Most of the eyeshadow sticks have a metallic formula in various shades of rose. To use the stick simply apply it directly onto your eyelid and blend out the edges. I wanted more of a sparkle to my lid so I also used this eye soot from Rituel De Fille. I would recommend using your fingertip to dip into the jar and apply all over the lids. The formula for the eye soots are a bit flakey and hard to pick up using only a makeup brush. Using an eyelid primer and glitter primer is also helpful in insuring your glitter eyeshadow remains for as long as possible throughout your day.
The Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in Grateful looks like it would be too pigmented, however you are able to sheer out the colors I’ve used. You are also able to layer on the shades for a pop of color to your makeup look. This Juicy Lasting Tint from rom&nd is from their spring release last year and features cool tone pinks. It adds to the overall monochromatic makeup I wore this day.
