A 3-Piece Highlighter Set To Brighten Your Day

Kaja Beauty Bento Viva Shine Highlighter + Eyeshadow Palette Mini Review

Here is a makeup look featuring another product I picked up from the spring Sephora sale. The Kaja Bento Viva Shine Highlighter + Eyeshadow Palette is a multipurpose highlighter trio meant for face, eyes, and body use. It has the same travel friendly stacked round containers as their face and eyeshadow bentos. The first two shades, Frosted Pink and Twinkle Dots, are meant for eye and face highlighters. While the last shade Marble Cotta is meant for a body highlight and is has warmer glow. You don’t have to use the last shade just for your body though. I think you could use it as a shimmery eyeshadow shade which is how I would use it as.

I put together this makeup look for my visit to the Renaissance Pleasure Faire that happens in Irwindale every year around April through May. I was wearing an orange striped oversized blouse so I kept that theme going with a monochromatic orange eyeshadow and blush combination. This Clionadh multichrome single eyeshadow is in the shade Royal Peach. Part of the Earth Vibrant multichrome eyeshadows of their Stained Glass collection, it has an orange base with red, gold, and chartreuse shifts. I used this in a simple eyeshadow look by applying it all over the lids, and using Frosted Pink from the Kaja Viva Shine Highlighter as an inner corner highlight.

Dawn Cloud Paint Gel Cream Blush from Glossier was the perfect shade of orange to blend out all over the cheeks. I have all the shades of their cream blushes and I’m surprised they haven’t released any new colors over the years. Even some seasonal limited colors would be fun for makeup enthusiasts to add to their collection. Their most recent release is a line of blurring lip creams which seems a bit opposite of their brand image of minimal “no makeup” makeup styles.

I chose the Merit Gelee Lip Oil in Les Deux for a sheer pink tint that helped moisturize my lips in the southern California heat. And Jo Malone Bitter Mandarin for a fresh citrus fragrance to continue the theme of orange. I’m also planning on purchasing the new Jo Malone fragrances inspired by Scotland and it’s landscapes, perhaps in the next Sephora fall sale.
