Oden’s Eye X Angelica Nyqvist Trick or Treat Palette Review

The Oden’s Eye Trick or Treat Palette is one of the new Halloween eyeshadow palettes in collaboration with Angelica Nyqvist. Using Hela, the goddess of death and rebirth, as inspiration, the palette features an orange and green color story with matte, metallic shimmers, and one mulitchrome shade.

The packaging for the palette is a fun touch, depicting a skeletonized Hela with green flames and ghostly floating jack-o’-lanterns. If you watch Angelica Nyqvist’s Youtube video detailing how she chose the shades for the palette, she arranged them in quads within the palette to make it easier for creating eyeshadow looks. The quads are arranged with similar color tones, sometimes including a contrasting shade for a pop of color.

Even though I generally don’t do super colorful makeup looks, I gravitate towards palettes with fun color stories like this. Angelica put a lot of thought into adding some neutral shades which can be incorporated with the brighter colors for a more everyday eye look.
