Lancome X Louvre Richeliue Wing Face & Eyeshadow Palette Review

The Lancome X Louvre Richeliue Wing is a 5 pan limited edition face and eyeshadow palette. The palette packaging and eyeshadow pan embossing features the sculpture of Corine, a Greek poetess of the 5th century BC housed in the Richelieu Wing of the Louvre. The eyeshadow shades are inspired by the different areas of the Richelieu Wing. The first shade is a highlighter, while the remaining shades are shimmer eyeshadows.

I was very impressed with the luxurious box and palette packaging. The palette itself is housed in a foam lining within the box, with a poster featuring the sculpture of Corine underneath. The back of the poster features a map of the Richeliu Wing at the Louvre, with a QR code for additional information about the sculpture. Despite the plastic packaging, it exhibits an elegant appearance due to its gold and marble design, along with its magnetic closures.

The pan sizes inside the palette are fairly large, so you get a decent amount of product. Which is great considering the price of the palette is on the higher end. They include two eyeshadow foam applicators inside, with one having a brush at one end, The eyeshadows are great quality and highly pigmented, unsurprising as the palette was made in Italy. The shimmers give that effortless “wet” look for one and done eyeshadow looks.

The poster also includes a description about the creation of this palette. It reads:

“Two French houses, Lancome and the Musee du Louvre invite you to celebrate the representation of women in art to better immerse yourself in the endless story of beauty. In this exclusive curation, we want to highlight the sculpture of Corinne, Greek poetess of the 5th century BC presented near the Cour Puget, Richelieu Wing of the Louvre. The palette created by Lisa Eldridge is inspired by the spectacular light of the place, making every shade shine. We believe that beauty reflects your own light. Make it shine!”
