Korean Makeup is Best for Everyday Makeup Looks

While I find myself gravitating towards colorful or interesting indie makeup, sometimes I want a neutral palette for easy makeup looks. And for that, you can’t go wrong with most Korean brands. Most Korean makeup palettes are just variations of brown, pink, or orange. Which may be boring in comparison to western styles of makeup, but when you want a tried and true makeup look, you can’t go wrong.

PeriPera Ink Pocket Shadow Makeup Tutorial

For this day’s makeup, I chose to use the peripera Ink Pocket Shadow Palette in Welcoming Woody Home. I believe this colorway is discontinued now, which shows how much I’ve actually used this palette. Good news is that peripera has very similar palettes that are available at both Olive Young, and YesStyle. Rolling in the Autumn is probably the most similar to Welcoming Woody Home. Both have brown neutral tones. But there is also Fancy Spring Sunshine, a warm coral tone palette, and Cool Summer Vibe, a pink cool tone palette.

To add some extra sparkle, I used this single eyeshadow from Kiko Milano in Wild Mauve. It comes off as more a metallic than a glitter. And as the eye makeup was more neutral, I decided on a more bright red blush using Colourpop Woo Me. The Juicy Lasting Tints from rom&nd looks like it would be a super saturated color, but it actually leaves a nice tint in a moisturizing formula. Perfect for people like me with perpetually dry lips.
